What is a Crappie Crib?

Crappie cribs refer to any natural or man-made structure at the bottom of a the lake.  These are often sank into position by the DNR each year as the ice thaws to provide safety and structure to support small bait fish and maintain healthy fishing populations.

Because of the unique history of the unique formation of the Chippewa flowage it is littered with numerous natural 'cribs' and many made as well.  Finding these cribs without the proper equipment and GPS tracking is incredibly difficult and I have accumulated 200+ locations to fish throughout the year to ensure your trip is fun and productive.
